About us

Board Games Munich is the board game community in Munich. We bring together people who share a passion for board games – at regular events, in our WhatsApp community and at joint activities.

We want to make the variety of Munich’s board game scene visible and create a place where players can meet, discover new games and share their passion for board games.

Open to everyone

We are a registered association (e.V.) – but our community and our meetups are open to all board game fans.

Regular game days

Big meetups in different Munich districts – plus many more game meetups in the calendar.

WhatsApp community

Several groups to chat and make plans – also between the meetups.

“You get to know a person better in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.”

Any questions?

In our FAQ you will find answers to the most common questions – from taking part in our events to our community and our association.

A small contribution of between 2 and 5 euros is charged for the room rent – this way we can make sure the room is well equipped and we have enough space for everyone. The price is basically the entrance fee to a day full of fun and games, without sacrificing your entire Monopoly fortune.

No, you don’t – but you may!
Most people bring their favourite games, so we often have 100+ games to choose from. You can also join an existing round spontaneously. But if you have a game you really want to play, feel free to bring it. Don’t worry: even without a game of your own you are always welcome with us.

You don’t know anyone? Then it is time to get to know us!
Just talk to people or look at which game looks exciting – the groups form all by themselves. Name tags are good for everyone, so grab our craft kit (masking tape + pen) or bring your own if you feel creative. That way you will not only get to know the game but a few new people as well. Everyone is welcome – you will quickly be part of a round, promised!
